As a recognised local building contractor, we contribute to the community in various ways, from direct construction projects to supporting local initiatives and promoting social value. This includes building and renovating community spaces, providing training and employment opportunities, and engaging with local residents throughout projects.

Community

Working at the community house, Worthing

We have recently worked together with The Community House, who are based in Worthing, to carry out a recent project to revamp their front gardens. We were able to reach out to our suppliers, and working together, able to produce the materials required for the works, and supply labour to carry out the project. The revamp of flower beds at Community House, enabled them to be accessible to individuals with disabilities and to children. We attended the grand opening of the gardens, together with the CE of Worthing Homes, other volunteers, local school children and the Worthing town crier.

We thoroughly enjoyed this work and was delighted with the comments from Community House of “The renovation is truly remarkable, it not only looks fantastic but most importantly, will benefit the community greatly”.

Foundation

Previous community works we have carried out include:

  • Installing new astroturf and soft play area at Sorrel Drive Resource Centre, Eastbourne
  • Supply and install planters to Connaught School, Hove
  • Supply and install wall cladding to Longhill School, Brighton
  • Redecoration and carpet renewal works to Downsview Special School, Elm Grove School, and Mile Oak School.
  • Working with a local Community House, carrying out a project to revamp front gardens, enabling disability access.
  • Donated office and storage furniture to The Hangleton and Knoll Project, which is a Community Development charity based in Brighton and Hove.
  • Installed Landing platforms on the beach at Hove Seafront to help launch boats.

We also donate to The Lighthouse Charity which is the only charity that is dedicated to the emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing of construction workers. https://lighthousecharity.org/

For 2025, we are currently sponsoring Lancing football club lancingfc.co.uk and Hove Park colts https://hoveparkcolts.com/

On 24th June 2019 we celebrated our 50th anniversary at The Brighton Racecourse. We sponsored a race and 2 of our longest serving members of staff, Cheryl Bathard and Carole Boyce presented the award to the winners of the race.
